Rae Morris’ new EP, Closer, will be out soon on October 22. With the release date approaching, the UK chanteuse has been unveiling some tasty tidbits off the release. Each one has been a pleasant treat for my ears. Today’s delight is titled My God, and what a beautiful and sublime ballad it is. This one’s more uplifting and soaring than some of Rae’s other, more brooding numbers. In fact, My God even carries a splinter of rustic twanginess with it! With bright pop ballads and such amazing vocals, I must wonder, is Rae Morris our new Ellie Goulding? Revisit the snappier title track off the Closer EP below.

The very first time I heard Jamie Kuse, the producer had crafted a bright, 80’s flavored remix out of Hopium’s Dreamers, featuring Phoebe Lou. It was a wonderfully beautiful and effervescent treat. The Vancouver artist’s back, this time with an intoxicating original named Your Love (Never Enough). Unlike the Hopium remix, this one’s far darker with its entrancing nu-disco groove, reminiscent of Chromeo, Daft Punk, or Kavinsky. With the dark foggy sound, Your Love ventures into italo disco-esque territory. It’s perfect for twirling around my desk to, now that I’m the last one in the office.

Much earlier this year, I stumbled upon a London based duo named Cash+David, who immediately piqued my interest with their arresting electropop music and their name, a combination tribute to both David Bowie and Johnny Cash. Now, Cash+David is back with Bones, a beautiful song that carries such sweet vulnerability and fragility, despite its softly driving, icy electronic production and crisp bass. The single will be out December 8 on their own label +. Revisit their first song Funn again below… I’m still such a sucker for those vocal harmonies.

Nico & Vinz’s Am I Wrong became one of the biggest hits this past summer, and with it, came quite a number of remixes. While I’ve already featured a few, this new one by East Coast duo The Rooftop Boys is just far too exhilarating and thrilling not to jump on right away, too. It’s full of luscious bass and enough summery warmth to make October seem like August again.

Dynamic Duoㅡ Good Love (Feat. Kim Bum Soo)
You spread your wings and take me out from this hell
When I’m suffering, lend me your slender shoulders
If you touch my hair with your small hands,
Even my insomnia will go away
…Sit next to me Lean on me and close your eyes
For me, who is like a fool
You promised forever
So thank you for giving me good love good love good love
Thank you – good love good love good love
